Let me start off by saying that I think this idea may be too intensive an idea for an EP cover and more an album cover down the line, and considering I haven’t even recorded 50% of the songs on the upcoming mini-album, I may be getting ahead of myself. But, ideas are ideas and as an artist, if you don’t get them on paper (or imaginary internet digital paper) they dissapear forever in the pipes and tubes of your mind, and no one wants that.

I really appreciate fine album covers. I hate it when people just
slap their face on something and add some lazy design. For me, that type of thing is a placeholder (
like my main image) until I do the real thing (see my
soundcloud). At least, in those instances, the photography should be stunning or
engagingly conceptual.
I really like album covers like
Arcade Fire’s Neon Bible, or
Nikki Jean’s Pennies in a Jar. My New Years resolution is to be great at everything (it really is) So, if i figure out how to get into reality whats in my head, I’ll only be fufilling my 2012 obligations. So, on to the idea.
- I’m planning on having one of those like really staged and clinically clean sets (like above) except in mine, I’m sitting at a table in a dining room or kitchen.

- I’ll be covered in black glitter paint (my face and arms, like above) and I’ll be wearing a yet-to-be-determined shirt and hat (probably black or some bold juicy color) and im cutting into the reddest fruit with the darkest skin I can find.

- The mood will be something colorful and beautiful, yet slightly off putting and askew. (like above)
So that’s my idea. And in September or October or what have you when I finally get to a point with my EP where I say (I’m done!) I can start on this. October Joe will thank April Joe, I’m sure.
*As for the significance of this album title? People who know me can figure it out. :-D
