I sat down for a chat with the creator of Public Shaming, a Tumblr blog whose sole purpose is to find racist, sexist and homophobic tweets and post them publicly for Internet posterity. Click the link below for a full Q & A.

I had a hand in a Grammys live tweet for Racialicious— go on to Racialicious and read all the sassy things I say about famous ladies in ostentatious dresses:
*The first of a couple Grammy related posts this week. The next one is pretty great… its part of my (still completely, for the most part) 2013 of awesome… :-D
In addition to looking up song structure, I’ve also been listening to inspirational songs for inspiration for a song I’m writing about inspiration. Yeah, I know.
Lovely. There’s just no other word for it. Here’s the original, which actually is much closer to the kind of stuff I write:
I guess I’m old fashioned. In my songwriting, at least. What the songs are about… are quite different… LOL.
This is more of The Beatles I love. And speaking of quartets I love…
Fun Fact #2: When I list inspirations, Boyz II Men and Tori Amos share the list with Peter Gabriel. Eclectic.
(Shut up, this is a good song. You have to admit the first time you heard it you liked it. It was the 700th time you heard it that you wanted to kill yourself. Also, R Kelly’s wild frantic inspirational fist shaking and 90’s hot wardrobe is enough reason to watch this again.)
I have to thank whoever this Kat person is for filling me with joy for the day. Also the 3 people who liked her comment. LOL.
And they say: when time began we
were floating orbs of light, sun progeny as souls
yearned to touch, to feel- us free ones willed it so,
and that, my love, became the world we know.
-Me, for a Bjork Songwriting contest.

And from the sketch, the illustration begins to emerge.

So, in the coming week(s?) I will have my first article published. (EEE!) Although I did minor in Creative Writing, I never really explored what I could do with it until I joined the Racialicious roundtables. As an extension of that, I’ll be done one (or more) articles about race and dating for Racialicious’s blog carnival, Love Anonymously. Although, since I’m telling you this right now, I’m not sure how anonymous it’s going to be.

Also, I’m not sure it’ll be anonymous at all since I plan on including some illustrations to go with my article. The three word boxes in this post represent parts of the 1600 word article (i had a lot to say, apparently) about my preferences while in the gay dating world.

So, I’m going to print these out and look at them and see if those four years at RISD were for something or what. :)
True Blood Roundtable (Season Finale) is up! I just had a few tidbits. But it’s good nonetheless :)

PS: Crystal the Panther looks like something from Thriller.
